What is power steering?

Power steering is a mechanical system that helps the driver steer the vehicle's wheels.

This system has been fitted to most 4x4s for over 20 years. It reduces the effort required to steer the vehicle by using an additional power source.

This technology is particularly useful off-road, especially at low speeds, where manoeuvres requiring large steering wheel movements are more common than on the road.

Why renovate or replace the power steering pump?

After many years or kilometres, the power steering pump on your 4x4 may show signs of weakness.

The most common problem is the various seals or the moving parts, which are worn.

In this article, we explain how to change the power steering pump on your vehicle.
